NHTSA Investigating Ford Bronco Over Engine Failure Complaints

32 owners have complained regarding the 2022 Ford Bronco with a 2.7L EcoBoost engine

The complaints state that the engine stopped suddenly and would not restart

The issue is only with the 2.7L EcoBoost engine, which is believed to have a possible valve defect

The 2.7L EcoBoost is standard on the 2022 Ford Bronco Wildtrak and optional on other trims

According to NHTSA, a total of 25,538 Broncos are potentially affected

NHTSA has received three separate petitions in March 2022 & is at reviewing stage

At present, there is no recall situation. However, if the result states any major issue, it could lead to one

Ford has said it would cover the customers with problems under a 5yr/60,000mils warranty
