NBA Players and Their Luxurious Cars

The National Basketball Association (NBA) is one of the most popular sports leagues in the world, with remarkable NBA picks. With soaring salaries and a top-notch lifestyle comes a great taste for luxury cars. Many NBA players express their success, image, and style in their car choices.

And the cars that they drive speak volumes about the players. From exotics to the more economical luxury vehicles, NBA players have no shortage of car options from which to choose.

This blog will examine some of the top NBA players and their cars.

1. Stephen Curry: Porsche 911 GT3 RS

The son of NBA legend Dell Curry, Stephen Curry. He got drafted by the Golden State Warriors in 2009 and introduced a new style of basketball with his three-point shots. Curry has won four championships and received the MVP title twice during his time with the Warriors, which has spanned over a decade.

Assuming nothing changes, it is likely that Curry will continue to play for the Warriors. In 2018, Curry was in a car crash that damaged his Porsche Panamera, but fortunately, he was not injured. Despite the accident, Curry’s financial status from basketball and endorsements makes it easy for him to afford the $188,500 Porsche while supporting his children.

2. James Harden: Rolls-Royce Wraith

James Harden, a talented but controversial player, began his NBA career with the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2009, playing alongside fellow stars Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. Despite making the playoffs every year, Harden and his team could not secure a championship victory. In 2012, he transferred to the Houston Rockets, where he went on to earn his MVP title in 2018.

After a brief tenure with the Brooklyn Nets, Harden joined the Philadelphia 76ers. Harden’s financial status is not a concern, as he signed a $200 million contract with Adidas in 2015 and a $171 million four-year extension with the 76ers. He enjoys collecting cars, and his prized possession is a two-tone Rolls-Royce Wraith, which he bought in Houston. Although he gave it red and black paint to honor his former team, the car received no additional modifications.

3. Kawhi Leonard: Rolls-Royce Cullinan

In 2019, Kawhi Leonard’s buzzer-beater in game seven against the Philadelphia 76ers caused Toronto to erupt excitedly. Although this was not his first NBA championship win, he previously won with the San Antonio Spurs, where he received the title of Defensive Player of the Year.

Despite now playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, Leonard remains focused on leading his team to victory. During high school, Leonard drove a 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe LS, which he kept even after signing a $94 million contract with the Spurs. However, he later upgraded to a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which he has maintained in pristine condition. Leonard avoids negative attention and prefers to keep a low profile.

4. Kyrie Irving: Lamborghini SV Roadster

Kyrie Irving, born in Australia, began his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers alongside LeBron James from 2014 to 2017, ending with a championship victory in the 2015/2016 season. Irving decided to join the Boston Celtics, hoping for a bright future. However, his career has been getting disrupted by various injuries and public controversies since leaving the Cavaliers.

Recently, his refusal to comply with the vaccine mandate has caused problems for the Brooklyn Nets, leaving a negative impression on team owners. Irving may have to relinquish his Lamborghini SV Roadster and exercise his 37 million dollars player option with the Nets since no team has expressed interest in him. Despite his previous impressive on-court performance, the Nets may trade Irving during the current season.

5. Ja Morant: Rolls-Royce Dawn

In 2019, the Memphis Grizzlies drafted Jo Morant as their Point Guard. He demonstrated impressive skills during his debut season, earning the NBA Rookie of the Year title in 2020. Morant joined the “multiple 45-point games before 23” club in 2022 with Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, scoring 47 points against the Golden State Warriors.

Recently, Morant signed a five-year, $193 million contract extension with the Grizzlies. Since his NBA debut, Morant has earned over $27 million, allowing him to purchase a Rolls-Royce Dawn, which he has showcased numerous times on his Instagram account. This vehicle is one of the most expensive possessions of the Memphis Grizzlies Point Guard.
